The Geography Site The emphasis is upon original content, although a library of carefully selected and annotated links to other World Wide Web geographical resources is also included. The quality of these resources has been recognised by numerous independent bodies, and this site is approved by the National Grid for Learning. No charge is made for access to our resources when accessed, via the Internet, at home or in educational establishments. Organisations wishing to store the entire site locally should read the copyright statement first. The design is intended to be easy to use and to access. It does not use frames, complicated Java or other active components. Where Java Script is used, either an alternative option is available or the use of the script will not deny content to users without this facility. |

The Author Since 1996, David has been actively involved in the promotion of the Internet as an educational medium. He was the UK Geography representative on the EUN Virtual School team, and has produced online educational materials for the Electronic Telegraph , the European Virtual School and Learnthings, the online education site run by the Guardian newspaper. He has contributed material to educational CD's including the SCET Geography disc, UK Government publications, magazines and school textbooks around the world.
