This is a photograph of a stack. The stack is formed from a hard grey igneous rock with sharp edges. It's about three times as tall as it is wide, and its base is in sea water. It's clear that the picture was taken at low tide because a brown area at the base of the stack is encrusted with barnacles and sea weeds.
